Interesting that you think I’m American. Just amazed by people stating openly that they’re okay with genocide.

The EU will never ban them.
found the SUV driver!
I mean, fits within the whole extreme private property fetish going on within N-VA, and western society at large.
Normalize seizing more things, I’d say. Seize Russian assets. Seize assets of corporations that pollute and kill. Seize assets of the overly rich. Seize the means of production.
Sardonis, where are the days! De Mens is a fixture in my playlists, love 'em!
I’ll start with this one: Ghentian jazzy prog-rock from the seventies, Kandahar - Eyes of Glass https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5iV4IhD-kRU
We’re on a crossroads in history where we’re deciding that doing something against climate change is too hard, we’ll just fight for it. Probably Mad Max style, but think of the shareholder value!
Google’s most difficult for me too, with the whole Android ecosystem and the fact that I can’t just ditch it since I need it for work. Most of the rest I got rid off a few years ago, but it’s a bit of a hassle.
Oh wow, interesting to see renewed Belgian interest here! Been using Lemmy since the Reddit exodus of 2023, but as expected most didn’t stick. It’s pretty calm here, but feel free to post more stuff here, it’s a bit more do-it-yourself since we’re only little.

Slow Down, by Kohei Saito
and right now I’m reading I Want a Better Catastrophe, by Andrew Boyd, and so far it’s interesting (and accessible).
Ah yes, that’ll do it
Why? That seems like a great addition to his resume in this administration?
They also don’t use much energy. You can do a lot of reading on one charge.
Better late than never, I suppose. Still, they’re just moving to Bluesky, which is just another corporate network…
Anger and hate are not the same. Anger can be a healthy emotion to signal your (personal) boundaries. Not feeling hate is admirable and I think it’s entirely possible, sure.
Our national news service had the balls to end their reporting on this news on a (techno)optimistic note, that everything will be fine if we just make a little effort. Scandelous and willful negligence.
I like this new format where we scan photocopies of posts.
