Unfortunately Lemmy being a reddit-like platform, there’s likely gonna be a bunch of reddit-like people in these comments saying reddit-like things that go against one or all of these guidelines.

One of my boyfriends is in the middle of forcing me to watch all of Naruto, and honestly I hate it so far? Once you’re a couple seasons into Shipuden they interrupt every single episode of actual progress with like 5 episodes of unnecessary flashbacks. Also the message is terrible, it’s misogynistic as hell and damn near fascistic.

For the One Piece fans here, I’m getting the impression that it’s like almost exactly the opposite. Is that true? If so we’re watching that next for sure.

I do! We have them where I live and this has happened to me too lol. I like to consider it a sign of trust that they’re willing to get that close to me, even though it’s more likely they’re just kind of oblivious. Although, they do have the best eyesight of any centipede… so who knows!

Please be nice to house centipedes, they’re friends. They won’t hurt you.

This trope, like how the Addams Family does it, has always really bothered and confused me. Like if the characters followed it to it’s logical conclusion, it wouldn’t make any sense at all, and I just can’t get over that. I don’t know how to explain what’s logically wrong with it, I wish someone would like write a tvtropes page about it

Much like the entire rest of my transition, I took the most cautious (read: cowardly) approach. I picked something androgynous that could feasibly be a nickname for my deadname, and got everyone used to that before ever even coming out. On the plus side, it’s extremely rare for me to get deadnamed now. On the negative side, it’s not the name I would have chosen if fear hadn’t been a factor.

I’m left-handed, and for some reason for me personally, Portuguese style has always been easiest to adapt that way. Might just be me though.

I usually wait till they complain about something related to one of the big corporate platforms, then throw out a “you know, the fediverse has an ‘X’ now, come join us!” Just replace X with reddit/tumbler/youtube/etc, whatever platform they were complaining about.

A healthy board requires a diverse set of opinions and experiences that educate the real decision-makers so they can get multiple perspectives on problems they need to solve. It seems like this board’s variety of backgrounds has been set up to do exactly that.

…This really doesn’t soothe my concerns at all! Actually, up until right now, I hadn’t even been paying enough attention to have concerns. So… if anything, this article has inspired concerns I didn’t already have.

EDIT: Googled it, apparently human milk has too little protein in general, and specifically not enough casein.

As I vaguely understand it, human milk lacks some specific kinda proteins required to form milk cheese? There’s always a way somehow though
