I actually heard this on the radio yesterday on the way home and it was a great interview. Makes me want to watch the next generation again

Just wanted to say I agree with everything you said. As a woman who has worked with the public for 30+ years I have never said yes to someone who asked me out while working.
The world has lost /is losing a lot of food this past year alone. Saw an article that Georgia (US) lost 90% of it’s peaches this season, folks/farms from the Midwest and Canada either couldn’t plant at all due to lack of rain or what was planted has died already.
The dam that was blown up in Ukraine ruined a huge area of farming that has global significance as they exported a lot of grains and oil seeds.
Spain is facing over 60% crop failures and the third year without honey.
Cotton crops from Texas and Spain also at a huge loss.
I am sure there’s more, this is just off the top of my head. It’ll take a little bit for it all to show up, but we are definitely going to be feeling the effects of this by next year I’m sure.
Ok so this whole thread has me tripping about…cars. Like, I know the statistics, but my son will be driving daily to school for the first time starting in August, has only been driving occasionally since last year and I am so not ready 🤪
I love where I live (semi rural/woods) for the peace and quiet and low COL but between being 15 min from town and the terrain (Appalachia) it is impossible to not drive everywhere.
Finally had time to watch it tonight and I thought it was great.
I feel like what seemed corny or off was on purpose. Spock is on a learning curve with his emotions/duty conundrum and we certainly felt that.
Looking forward to next week!
Some part of our brains knew we were losing the real people. It hasn’t felt right there in awhile. I wonder how many bots we were talking to thinking they weren’t.
I’ve commented more this week than the past year on there.
The comment I saw said it was experimental iirc.
With all the buzz this week I wouldn’t be surprised if they try to force everyone to the app eventually.
Exactly! I was a bit on the fence in the beginning, figured I would survive the demise of baconreader and use the web. Then they played the game with blocking the mobile browser, restoring deleted comments and resubbing, which is bonkers. Now with the latest news, there is no way for me to support this company. After 13 years I am done.
Seeing all the recent posts here about people finding themselves subbed to places they unsubscribed from, as well as deleted comments coming back is what sold me to not return at all.
I haven’t been back except for a few minutes on Wednesday. Most of my subs I was following were still dark. I had unsubbed from all that weren’t participating in the protest (unless for good reason) and may go back to see if I was resubbed, but will not stay. Have also been wanting to use shreddit to delete everything, just haven’t had the time.
Thanks for doing this!
I hear ya! I am typically not one to rewatch much, simply because my list of new things is quite large.
