Is it really a new low? I meant he pretty much does the equivalent of this just about daily. It’s pretty standard at this point.

If a judge can garnish my wages or dictate the terms of a company bankruptcy settlement then they should be able to take control of the payments relevant to their ruling.
Pretty sure he just paid for it.
I wrote it below but that’s not the only way.
Other things like finding the IRS (8x the investment) and job placement programs return much much more than what is invested in them. It’s like running a restaurant and pricing alcohol at cost while planning for apps to make us the difference, that’s just not reality.
Granted this is still unpopular with lobbiests and would cost rich people money so them money
Not very effectively. Tariffs return less than the investment in them due to a slow down in the economy they cause. The thing that always baffles me is that they never look to increase government revenue. Every company I’ve worked for the question was always 1 how to increase money coming in then 2 how to reduce money going out. In that order.
Agreed, and the passing from the article implies that she was prepped and had an idea that he was shitty then realized how terrible a person he is once he met her. He’s in the news so much over the last 8-9 years but before 2015/2016 most people knew fairly little about him unless you read his biography which his biographer has come out and said it’s very sanitized.
I mean, why would she care? He’s was a US business man and she was a German politician. They would have little to no overlap and even when he became president she had more to do than spend the days of would take going over his list of bullshittery. It’s easy to see immediately that he is a terrible person, realizing that he’s quite literally toxic takes actually investing time into.

To be fair it is true that Schumer and Pelosi are running the country. It’s kind of their job being elected officials and all.
It’s the same general process you as you described. Us Americans are just kind of dicks.
You know how in dystopian stories how it always starts like 50 years after the fascists take power? Project 2025 is the plan to put the fascists into power. It pretty much places trump as dictator by putting into place all the people who will follow through this time.
I’m really tired of so many people saying that doing something as a consequence for Trump’s actions would set a new precedent. So many things that he has done are unprecedented. There is no FAQ for when the president refuses to transfer power or when a “billionaire” politician is caught perpetrating decades of multitudes of types of fraud.
I stand corrected
50 miles might not even get you from one county to another. Land mass size Texas is close to the whole of Europe.
It’s not it’s just a little effort in remembering the couple major details of people you see frequently instead of feeling exhausted from the anxiety of being stuck in a conversation.
Answer their question with questions. If they ask about your weekend all about their’s then followup on a detail. They will talk for a couple minutes then end with some version of “hey great chat but I need to get a couple things done”. If you want to remain approachable you need to give people the chance to talk but also don’t really need to share much of yourself. Keep tabs on the easy things(kids, spouse, etc) and you have a lot of variations of very basic questions for a short conversation. How’s kid liking school? Did you and spouse have a nice weekend? Then one or two follow up questions to them and you can end the conversation without the other person feeling like you blew them off.
I feel like this is a good time for Dems to gamble and try to push through a quick impeachment vote. Gets it out of the way and allows the focus to be on the Trump trials and spotlight the vulnerable GOP house members.
I feel that this really sums up the sentiment that I notice in my area.
“Most crucially, major corporations crave younger consumers and lifelong brand loyalists. Outside of cable news, older consumers are less attractive to most advertisers. And younger people (meaning anyone under 45!) lean decidedly to the left. The most coveted 18-29-year-old demographic leans farther left than any other. Long gone are the days of the Reagan youth, when 18-24-year-olds backed the Republican over Walter Mondale by over 30 points in the 1984 presidential election, and corporate America catered to them accordingly.”
The 55+ demographic has had the cultural and political focus on them their whole lives. Now that it’s not catering to their opinions they are throwing a tantrum.
Not if it is leveraged to hell and back. Odds are that a bulk is collateral for buying a social media platform and a presidency along with how he uses it to float his other companies.
