I’ve been very happy with my Deathadder, been using it for almost a year now.
I’ve been very happy with my Deathadder, been using it for almost a year now.
First week of hrt has done wonders for my mental health, and removed any lingering doubts I hadn’t been able to shake yet.
In other news, started a new campaign with my rpg group using Masks: A New Generation. It is a blast, and I highly recommend it.
The right answer is whatever feels correct to you.
Personally, I have thought of it like a scale from 0:1, with all the possibilities between them being trans and the endpoints being the two binary genders. However, the more gender theory you read, the less helpful that seems.
I mean, would you rather it went through? It’s okay to recognize a good thing when it happens.
I started HRT yesterday! Been in a fantastic mood all weekend, which is a nice change.
Unfortunately, most of them are not the leftists mentioned at the top of this thread.
Not to mention that mosquitos hate mint.
I am seeing my new doctor tomorrow to start HRT!
But don’t worry, this ends once Trump leaves office /s
My HRT appointment is scheduled for next week!
I agree, I’m also happy that people like Walz seem to want to give people a better option, making a protest vote even less appealing.
Mailed my in-patient documents to the closest LGBTQ+ affirming doctor. (about 30 minutes from me) They will call me to schedule my hrt consultation once they receive it!
That’s a Texas-sized 10-4 good buddy
Exactly why I keep saying in other threads that this problem doesn’t die with Trump. The damage is done, and the whisperers just need a new puppet once Trump kicks the bucket.
I was curious, so I tried to find the article. Here is an excerpt from NPR that I found first:
Panama sends 97 U.S. deportees to migrant camp after they refused to be repatriated
PANAMA CITY — Panama transferred about one-third of the deportees from various nations it had received from the United States to a camp in its Darien province Wednesday, an area that became the main thoroughfare for migrants traveling from South America to the U.S. border in recent years, security officials said late Wednesday.
The migrants sent to Darien had refused to voluntarily be repatriated to their countries and will be held there until third countries can be found to take them, said a Panamanian official familiar with the situation who requested anonymity because they were not authorized to speak publicly about the matter.
Please correct me if I’m wrong, but it seems like the US sent the deportees to Panama, and all of this is happening at their governments discretion. Obviously they are in this situation because of the US, which I am not happy about, but it doesn’t seem to follow that the Trump regime is sending people to concentration camps based on this event.
Edit: Someone else linked the original article, which has more details.
Context, the deportees aren’t even all from Central / South America. At least one mentioned was Iranian. So it seems the US is just sending people to Panama who didn’t even necessarily originate from there, so that the US doesn’t have to deal with them anymore. Seems disgusting.
The chatter I hear around the office would disagree. People got what they voted for, are elated, and laughing.
Hi, friend. Lemmy is diverse, so I understand if English isn’t your first language. The adjective, “despicable,” in the title is affecting the word, “video,” not the word, “deported.”
While deportations are obviously not inherently immoral, this article is drawing attention to how the White House posted a video, which depicts our fellow human beings who are likely being separated from their families, as an attempt to amuse their base with what they think is humorous. I’m sure we can both agree this is despicable.
Concluded a 2 year long D&D campaign today with a level 20 finale. Thankful to have people in my life who love and accept me enough to choose to listen to me talk for 5 hours on a Sunday 🥴
Advice about HRT: physical changes happen very slowly. Mental effects happen much quicker. You can start it and see if it helps you feel more comfortable (happened within days for me) and stop if it isn’t good for you.
In the event that it is something you want, you will be happy that you started it earlier rather than later.
Edit: to be clear when I say “very slowly” for physical changes, I mean months. Do what you need to do if being visibly trans isn’t feasible within the next year.
