Canadian here. Our immigration levels are rising faster than our ability to build infrastructure. Our hospitals and schools are overcrowded. Also a large percentage of our immigrants come from a couple countries it is not very diverse.

I still lean far left, but this has pushed a lot of people right.

I dont think they made a uturn, they did however correct the course. Drugs are still decriminalized but police will have the ability to kick drug users out of playgrounds and beaches.

I doubt the same thing is happening in the US, but in Canada immigration is definitely an election issue.

Building homes, schools and hospitals has not kept up with our immigration levels. Our homeless incampments are growing larger, more students than ever are in portables and wait times for the ER and surgeries keep growing.

Similar experience for me. I somehow missed getting La’zel and Gale on my first playthrough. I managed to go back and find Gale, but La’zel was nowhere to be found. The encounter already happened I guess.

I restarted and things now make more sense.
