I’ve been using computers long enough to know how to do my own tech support (also working in IT for a few years now, it sure does help). Been using Mint daily for more than a month now and I’m convinced average people can use it (or equivalent : Ubuntu, Pop…) hassle free.
But people must also accept to learn a bit about computers. Most don’t know and don’t want to.

Le site aurait dû être fermé depuis longtemps, c’est également un repaire de pédophiles qui se cachent à peine. On s’amusait a les débusquer et les insulter il y a quelques années. C’était pas très malin mais ça défoulait et au moins on leur mettait le nez dedans quelques instants. Les gars font ça sans aucune gêne.
Comment vous faites pour écouter la radio DAB ? C’est un autoradio compatible, un ampli chez vous ?
That’s why I don’t play japanese rpgs despite liking them. You have to “play” for 10 to 15 hours before the game actually starts. And during this time it’s a whole lot of cinematic and dialogs with minimal gameplay. Sometimes it gets ridiculous. I can’t remember which game, but after few minutes of dialog you’d be walking for less than a minute to then have dialog again… I want to play and have fun damn it.
I stopped playing online competitive games a while back, the last ones were overwatch (1) and dota. Now I almost only play solo games and I have a lot of fun. Currently 110+ hours in TOTK and I’m far from done with it. It’s a category that’s far from dead and there are any flavor that could fit your tastes.
The only online game I keep playing is MK8D because frustration never last long and there’s no ELO ranking to be obsessed with. Also Splatoon once in a while.
Yeah I really like choco as well, I have my little script to keep softs updated, I haven’t spent much time with winget yet. I might be wrong but I think Choco installs software in specific folders instead of the usual C:\Programs or Appdata ?
winget uses official repos, choco uses its own community-maintained repo.
So is this the new trend after 60% mechanical keyboards, ultrawide monitors or immutable distros ?
Maybe it would improve my typing speed, but I’ve been using a conventional keyboard layout for so long now, I’m fine with where I’m at. Almost thirty years of muscular memory made it “hard coded” in my hands.
