It is $7.25, but U.S. businesses often get away with paying waiters way below minimum wage. They expect their employees to make it up with the tips they recieve from customers. If it is American style tipping, that is exactly what that is.


This certainly also means these businesses are willing to under-pay their employees who do get tips.
I am more appalled that they think many of us older gen people actually experienced the “good ol days.” When do they even think that is? Lmao Nobody else outside their generation has ever experienced these same troubles ever?


I actually use both, depending on the context of the conversation and the people I am speaking with. I do this partially because I understand we are one of three Americas. If I am speaking to someone who isn’t a U.S. citizen, I’ll say U.S. But to other U.S. citizens, I’ll say America because we know the implied meaning when we say it.
