Yes fiscally responsible like a ridiculous hwy that he needs to make new laws to build, a ridiculous tunnel under an existing hwy, removing newly built bike lanes, spening millions to rush booze to shelves to undermine a government labor strike, various land scandas. The list goes on and on highlighting these excellent examples of fiscal responsibility.
I’d argue the DLCs did more than you imply. The extra modes of transit gave more options to move people, painting a custom park area made cities feel more realistic than premade square parks, universities could be a great centerpiece for a neighborhood. Its not like vanilla was unplayable, but the DLC defintely added more creativity for me.
I mean look at ontario’s premier who won a 3rd time in an “emergency election” that had the 2nd lowest voter turn out. It defintely wasn’t a power grab by ford cause he knew change was coming in the feds and he could not longer blame Trudeau for problems he fails to fix.
I hope ontario somehow forces another election after Carney has some time to make an impact and the Ontario liberals or ndp can put a new face forward for this province.
Thinking ford is suddenly a liberal without addressing his ridiculous highway plans, ridiculous tunnel plans, his loyalty to oil coupled with resistance to green energy, gutting of the endangered species act, and greenbelt scandal is ridiculous. Ford is half the problem most people in Ontario hate Trudeau because his polciies failed to help Ontarians, but his charisma managed to blame the feds.
He also promised buck a beer and what we got instead was an increase in beer prices and now you can buy it at every gas station, which i predict in the long term will increase the amount of drinking and driving as well as increase access to alcohol for minors.
Theres been an awful trend in this country where premiers suck at their jobs and responsibilities then win the next provincial election anyway by saying all the problems are insert federal leader here fault.
And an insult to those who lost their lives or their sanity fighting the nazis.
In wet areas or areas during a snow melt, sump pumps are a big factor. Many people have emergency generators or battery back up pumps if their sump pit has a lot of flow.
Also rural people will often lose power to their water pumps and disinfection equipment for drinking water.
Lmao they post like 50+% of the content in this community. Enjoy your empty feed tailored to only opinions you agree with.
Ontario hates themselves thats why. Ontarians convinced themselves all their problems were Trudeau’s fault without considering that half their issues are provincial jurisdiction.
We should have social systems to help people over come those fears and protect them from threats, both physical and financial. No one should be forced to be with someone they fear because of finances, childcare, safety, or loneliness.
Not all shitty partners induce fear. I’ve known some girls who are just head over heels due to how attractive, wealthy, or mostly sweet a guy is. The good times outshine the bad times and they get into the “i can fix him” mentality. My brother is like that where he has gotten away with cheating with nearly every partner he has had. It usually takes the girl months to finally leave him and say its been enough. Hes the chad gym type and genuinely doesn’t have to try to pull women. Any time they threaten to leave he gets all sweet, shows up with gifts and acts romantic and sexy just to get caught cheating again next week.
We need to be hard on ourselves sometimes and push manipulative people out of our lives. I think an erosion of IRL friendships has influenced this trend as well. I used to know girls who would band together to help a girl get rid of a shitty guy they were infatuated with but that is much harder to do online than in person.
I agree, and in my opinion, women and partners in general need to get better at leaving piece of shit men (or shitty partners in general). Many of them keep acting like this cause they get away with it after some small talk and a nice dinner just to be a piece of shit again next week. I’ve known girls who date men who genuinely claim that women shouldn’t be allowed to vote and all i can think is “why is this girl staying with someone who hates them?”
I think part of why she didn’t seen men fighting some of the shitty stuff online is due to the echochamber effect of those communities. Any resistance is downvoted, dogpiled with hateful comments, and maybe even removed by a biased mod. A lot of the good men who would defend in those comments don’t even browse those specific forums because of how toxic and shitty they can be.
I heard a podcast speculate that Doug Ford would be PM one day and tbh i shudder at the thought of that. A canada wide bicycle ban? Selling national parks to build mcmansions? Public funding for private amenities only the rich can afford?
All of that is possible under Ford as PM.
Education to inform voters? I wonder which party routinely tries to reduce education funding…
All the more reason to kick him out as leader. He can’t even keep the seat hes had for years in an election that just months ago looked to be his by a landslide.
I never played cs1 on release, only played after it was nearly 10 years old, but my understanding is it vastly improved over updates and dlc (which unfortunately did cost more but did at least add meaningful changes for the most part).
Im curious to see where CS2 stands in 3-5 years when mods have really taken off and the devs had made most of their major tweaks.
They could also try working with the BQ since that party is in 3rd and has more seats than the NDP
A couple of studies have shown this doesn’t reduce car trips nearly as much as some would think and in some areas actually increases car trips due to less clumping of errands, less adherence to rush hour times, and an increase in delivery services like ubereats and amazon.
The only solution to traffic is alternatives to traffics like transit, and nearly every form of transit is more energy effdcient than private EVs. EVs are still good, but electrified transit should be a bigger focus.
He waits until the federal election ends and then acts like this. Maybe Ontario will be due for another, this time needed, emergency provincial election
