Jus an fyi, getting married costs basically nothing unless you have a wedding. It literally costs like $55 for the certificate at the court. You don’t have to have a wedding that costs $50K. I know multiple people who literally just had some people over and got pizzas.

As someone who doesn’t give two shits about Football or competition sports, I honestly feel like a fucking alien sometimes. Like I literally couldn’t care less. I’ve tried to care. I just fucking don’t. It’s so hard sometimes because every male (either my friends or at work) talks about Sports and I’m just like “yea idk, I didn’t watch the game.” Then they stare at me like I’m a boring sack of shit. It sucks.
Fyi if you play this game on PC there are multiple great mods that revert the dialogue UI back to legacy style, where it shows you the actual dialogue choices in full, just like previous games.
At the doctor’s office they take it immediately while you have no back support and your legs are dangling. They also hold your arm well below heart level. Plus most people are anxious at the doctor’s. This is why they tell people to monitor it at home lol. I feel like having the clinician take it before you see the doctor is useless.

The books are canon for the games, yes. The games are not canon. Idk what else to say. I played W2 and 3 originally without having read the books. It didn’t seem weird in W3 because W2 was spent looking for her the entire game. And it gave clues about their history. After having read the books W3 makes even more sense since I understood more about the characters. There is nothing unreasonable about how they did that game. The game is totally fine without having read the books. But I am telling you that it makes more sense if you did.
I mean… The game has numerous book references. It expects you to have read then. Half the characters and references are from the books. So not sure why it’s the yen part that specifically bugs you :-)
The whole triss vs yen thing was lazy fanservice added by CDPR. If you read the books, it’s clear Geralt is destined to be with Yen. The books make this abundantly clear. It also makes it crystal clear that Geralt thinks of Triss like a little sister, not romantically. There was absolutely no reason to have that in the book. It’s straight up stupid fanservice and made the game into kind of a meme in my opinion.
