Bg3 is good, but if you’re like me putting it against bg2, it just doesn’t compare. It’s DOS2 with a coat of d&d paint. And while I did enjoy the game, I still feel larian falls short on their writing. Loved act 1, but act2 and 3 were meh.

Love people down voting you for having an opinion. Some people don’t like turn based, that’s that. I enjoyed BG3 but I just can’t bring myself to start another game, maybe in a couple months or a year. Trying to get through the main storyline in starfield so I can move on to some of the new games coming out, but I keep getting sidetracked.
I played DOS:2 so knew exactly how combat in bg3 would be. Just has a coat of d&d paint is all.
That whole bit didn’t seem that hidden to me, just seemed natural to go ahead and do it to cross another thing off the list.
Well this is… hmm… this is something. That’s for sure.
Whackadoo But seriously, Bandit is the best dad role model.

I paid her for her services (after threatening her for a discount) because I really wanted those gloves. If she was just gonna sell em for 1000 I would’ve done it that way instead. Seems to be a pretty good discount.
Holy shit my sides. That robot has 0 fucks to give, get slapped.
I only used a couple of mine thinking there would be more fights and I needed to save them, and then I just dominated the boss fight with barely using any help either. I saved before I entered the final area so I could do different choices, so ill probably just drop almost everything I have in the courtyard and go from there on my next go.
Yeah I finished my playthrough of bg3 just in time for starfield. Been playing it constantly since. Loving the game. Hard to compare the two as well, they’re rpgs sure but very different. Should pc gamer start writing articles about the lack of base building in bg3?? Bottom line is if you like Bethesda games, you’ll like Starfield. Didn’t like Skyrim or Fallout very much? You won’t like Starfield.
Karlach is Lana, she obviously has huge hands.
Haha, explore his home and learn about his favourite soup and the next thing you know, you’re lying on a rock next to him and he’s shirtless. Like dude. Maybe that’s why he’s so insistent on having you turn into a mindflayer, needs some tentacle loving.
About to go into the final battle and finish the game off for my 1st run. I’ll probably shelve the game for a couple months and play Starfield and Phantom Liberty and then give an evil run through a try.
Loved act 1, but not too impressed with act 3. Seemed a bit rushed and all over the place, maybe should’ve split the content up and made an act 4. Always felt with Larian games that the writing usually falls apart near the end and this game was no exception. Bit let down with the other 2 chosen fights as well. The highlight was definitely the house of hope, between the music, the characters you deal with and the fight itself it was absolutely my favourite part of act3.
I’ve also run into numerous bugs requiring reloads too. Jumping across a small gap and characters will get caught on some invisible wall and just die. Quests not completing or triggering properly. Companions repeating dialogue or just giving me dialogue as if I chose different outcomes from quests(looking at you Gale). Also managed to get two different outcomes for the same gather your allies quest so I guess I’ll see if that works out or not. (EDIT: Just a dialogue/extra character glitch. Didn’t have two skills in the allies bar to use for them)
All in all I enjoyed the game, but bg2 is one of my all time favourite rpgs and this fell short for me. I’m glad it did really well though, hopefully they can make an Icewind Dale or Neverwinter Nights game, that would be wicked.
First act is polished, rest of the game is full of bugs. Was the same issue with DOS2. It’s good that they’re working on all the later bugs, but acting like the entire game is perfect needs to stop. Nothing preventing me from finishing it, but I’ve had several issues where I had to reload my game to try to fix things not happening when they should.
Yeah, I’m almost done bg3, just in time for starfield, but I wish there was some downtime so I could start a fresh bg1/2 run.
Yeah gale is completely broken for me. Keeps bringing up his conversation from the end of act 2 and then talking to me about taking the deal which I never did. Rinse repeat.
Yeah, the farther I play the more bugs I experience. Act3 has had tons, there’s been a few reloads because something didn’t happen that was supposed to. It was the same for DOS2 though.
Well damn, that works even better. Been hauling all this food around thinking I needed to have it in my inventory.
Looks like they fixed the chest of the mundane for act 3. Too bad I already tossed all my cups and bowls away. It also says it fixed a bug where it changed the weight of items in the chest? So the reason everyone used it was a bug? Guess I’ll find out since I threw all my camp supplies in it and they were heavy as fuck.
It’s tough, but honest work.
