The annoying thing about HS2 is that is was focused in the north. The link from Birmingham to London was somewhat tacked on to make of more politically palpable to those folk seeming allergic to spending any money outside of the south east. I’d avoid super short USB drives if you can as they tend just to be SD cards in disguise.

If possible for dB stuff I would recommend using actual drives as lots of reads and writes will very quickly wear out most removable storage devices.

If you’re on android and using swiftkey that might be your culprit. For ages I thought I was getting worse but the more I looked at it the more I noticed Swiftkey was suggesting me words that didn’t exist or were spelt wrong. Eventually I switched keyboards and it became way easier.
