Trying to label everything in concrete terms like this does nobody any favors.
I know plenty of very high earners that are just stupid with money and blow it as fast as they get it. People making $300k+ and living paycheck to paycheck with no savings or retirement because they bought two $100k+ cars, overextended themselves on buying a house, spend hundreds a week on restaurants and shopping, etc.
Are they the “working poor”?
As far as working class goes, sure if you want to break it down into only a two class structure then yeah. You’re either working class or owner class. That ignores a lot of nuance though within the working class. There’s quite a bit of difference between someone at the bottom of the working class and someone like a high earning professional that still needs to work, but has a much higher standard of living.

No Palestinian state was created then when it could have been. Jordanians and Egyptians built settlements of their own and displaced Palestinians.

To be fair, they do. Iran, Jordan, and Egypt have tried repeatedly to eliminate Israel entirely.
Because they have nukes and would use them on their neighbors.
I mean, the pandemic has been over for over a year.
Covid is just endemic now like the flu. It’s seasonal and is never going to go away.

Even prior to direct military entry, the US was providing mass amounts of aid to fight the Axis. We were giving the UK destroyers, arms, and ammunition immediately after the Nazi invasion of Poland, gave billions to China to help fight the Japanese invasion, and started arming the Soviet Union under the Lend-Lease as soon as Germany invaded them.
We also deployed to Iceland to take over the Brits’ post there so they could free up troops to the mainland.
Even ignoring the European front, which is stupid, the US was instrumental in the African front and neutralizing Italy.
But nah, the US kicking ass and stacking bodies on 3 different fronts wasn’t important to winning the war. Nope.
10·1 year agoAlso, social media. You know everything behind the scenes in your own life. You only see what other people put up for you to see.
You see other people smiling and happy all the time, but only see the pictures, not the reality.
Avocado toast itself is a great meal. If you make it at home, it’s a cheap meal full of good fats that will keep you full for a while.
Avocado toast in a cafe or something is stupid because they charge $15-20 for something that costs $1 to make.
So just don’t use the built in software. I don’t have any of my TVs connected to the internet or use their built in OS. I have a couple of Apple TVs plugged in and run everything off that. Never even set the things up beyond plugging them in and switching to HDMI 1.
There’s also the Chromecast TV if you use Android.
If you use a separate smart tv device like those, then the only thing you need to care about on the TV itself is resolution, refresh, and number of ports. Or if you want to spend a chunk of change then you can look into things like OLED. But the separate devices make the TV OS irrelevant.
