Most states have eviction laws limiting their power, and often part of a tenant union is a lawyer to stall
Its pretty great, my default messaging app when someone’s on it.
Xtallll made a good explainer: https://lemmy.blahaj.zone/comment/13403826
You want to make sure they sound real, it’s pretty easy to filter out copy-pasted stuff. make them sound believable :)
I guess it would be an improvement, but it wouldn’t really solve the problem of knowing what you’re pressing.
I guess maybe you could have some light vibration with touch and trigger it with a harder press, but it really feels like we’re putting way more effort into just making worse buttons. I don’t see the tradeoffs being worth it without a lot of investment from both the phone maker and app makers
I just have it on a private Gitea server right now, I’ll move it over to github and send you a DM with some more details
Here’s the original text of the bill, you can see the original text stricken out:

This was from the bill they introduced last year to do the same thing.
Huh, I wasnt originally planning on activitypub in what I’m building cause I see little reason for my group’s needs, currently just thinking a basic api so you could hook several instances together. @ApathyTree@lemmy.dbzer0.com would that cover your use case or would a broader activity pub implementation be better?
(Also absolutely no promises this turns into something beyond just being useful to the group I’m involved in, but I would like to make it something broadly useful if I can with the time I’m able to put into it.)
They originally tried to exempt police unions but were told that would be too blatantly illegal and the whole thing would be struck down, so they did this instead.
We have to fight to minimize the damage we cause lashing out at other countries. Sure, there’s only so much we can do, but giving up would be even worse.
Eh, Tulsi changed a lot since 2016. She no longer stands for pretty much any of the principles she did then.
I would highly reccomend talking to a therapist. It can be hard to find one that works for you, but give it a shot and try a few if one doesn’t work. Therapy can be incredibly helpful and this is something that sounds like it’s having a negative impact on your life.
I’ve looked for something like this and haven’t been able to find one.
I’ve started developing one for my local mutual aid group, but that’s still months away from an initial release at the rate I’ve been able to put time into it.
(Side note if anyone does know of one, I’d love to hear about it)
The UAW’s working on one, but they’re targetting 2028 to get around solidarity strike laws.
We need unions to spearhead one, trying to organize a general strike without union backing is doomed to fail because it’s basically impossible to organize enough people without structures protecting them.
Nah, just a straight up sieg heil. He even did the chest thing
Warheads or toxic waste
If the alternative is not solving the problem while making other stuff worse, yeah.
Jury nullification is actually legal, and has been upheld as a right of juries in multiple cases. The defense just can’t inform the jury about it.
Initial Public Offering.
Its where a company offers stock for public sale, and gets listed on the stock market.
Generally this corresponds with a company pushing hard to maximize profits over other metrics like user growth.
