Not who you were talking to but most people who have a PC at home aren’t installing an OS on it. They’re using windows cause that’s what came out of the box. Most of us windows users wouldn’t go out of our way to install windows if Linux came preprogrammed. It’s more convenient to not install any damn thing.

That sounds like a user error issue. I use windows at home and work and I also haven’t seen a blue screen in years.

Ammo starts to degrade after about 10-20 years assuming your storing it well. Which is less likely to be true in the “end times”. 2 decades is a long time but depending on your age it’s not a life time, and firing damaged ammo can be dangerous.

A lot of these militia guys also don’t learn the survival tasks they consider feminine. How many know any sort of gathering skills, cooking anything not meat based, laundry, mending clothes? Those are probably more day to day useful during the apocalypse than rifle shooting or how to wear camo paint.

I’m interested to know what country you come from where this isn’t standard? Do you find that that lack of flexibility is culturally just in the military there or present in your countries government and corporate cultures as well?

So similar stuff has happened throughout history with the coming of more advanced technology. There use to be entire rooms of secretaries in order to do clerical work that has been replaced by Microsoft Office Suite. Their replacement by technology did not cause a total collapse of society so I don’t see why this would?

It might make the world worse and drive down the standard of living for many but a total upheaval? If humans made it through the industrial age we’ll likely make it through the second technology age too. We won’t be unscathed but mankind survived the invention of the computer which was probably equally (or maybe more) disruptive.

It’s not the job of women to put themselves in potentially dangerous situations for the betterment of men. Women not wanting to be easily assaulted is “hurting men” is a disgusting take and says some truly awful things about you.
