My girlfriend has an iPhone, and the storage is full. We’ve been trying to get all her pictures transferred off to delete some of the older ones off the phone and holy fuck is it a pain in the ass. Move them to her MacBook? Pain in the ass because of how they setup their Photos app. Move to a flashdrive via a dongle? Pain in the ass because it downloads from who knows where and fills the storage back up before I can start the transfer. Connect to my Windows PC? Lmao yeah right.

So far I’ve just gotten Immich to backup all her pics to my server but due to the amount on her phone it takes forever then bugs out and stops transferring.

Pretty fucked. I’m already weighing my options here now that this has happened. My gf is a Brazilian here on a education visa, will Trump deport her? Maybe. If she goes back to see family during the summer will she be allowed back in? I don’t have much faith she will be. My cousin is trans and in a red state now, he’s very much at risk. My other cousin is queer and also at risk. If my dad wasn’t already dead his disability money will have dried up, not to mention his medications and treatments would’ve been unaffordable more than they already were. For anyone who doesn’t know, you can remove the Galaxy Store and any other Samsung bloatware you don’t want using ADB. Root isn’t required, but be careful when removing apps, you could accidentally remove something that’s a dependency on something else you actually use. For me I desperately needed to stop the constant notification from the Samsung Account app telling me to sign in to continue.
