  • Never heard of him, but if he’s like Bernie, I’ll endorse that.

I’m sort of assuming that this comment can be aimed at me, which I think is accurate

Nope, just responding to OP. I fit 3 of the items on their list, 5 depending on who you ask, and I take exception to having my issues with the party that’s supposed to represent my interests dismissed as “maga cuckoo infiltration.”

If it is as you say, then that sounds like bad faith actors posing as 3rd party alright. People will do anything to get you sucked into engagement to drain you and keep you from being productive. I guess reminding everyone of that is a public service

  • If you’re referring to the youtube thumbnail trend, it’s because it helps people choose videos without reading channel names. You know who it’s from just by looking, you see the title, you’re more likely to click.

In other words, the office nerds at Mr. Beast Inc. crunched the numbers and discovered that they get ??% more viewers by putting Jimmy’s face in the thumbnail, and every other youtuber took that as gospel.

Categorization error. The categories of “gay” and “straight,” as we understand them currently, were invented by a cisheteronormative society that treats everything as an extreme male-masculine/female-feminine dichotomy. Trying to shove Gender Non-Conforming people into this framework will necessarily result in errors, because it denies their existence by its very core tenets.

  • There’s the rub: “good” and “bad” are simply byproducts of knowledge, abstracts that don’t pertain to concrete real-world objects. As such, the medium becomes the message: knowledge must be good because it allows us the medium to consider goodness. Of course we think knowledge is good, it’s all we’ve ever known.

It’s like making a moral claim about existence: of course we think existence is good, it’s all we’ve experienced, all we can know.

    Also: bandwagon fallacy.

that chicken was an animal that was raised in war-crime conditions and killed on a conveyor belt of death where it watched as its kin in front of it were stunned and then drowned.

That cheese comes from a cow who was fisted in the ass by a farmer so they could inseminate it (a process many would describe using an upsetting term beginning with the lettee ‘r’, were it done to humans), only to havw the resulting child ripped away from it before they could bond so that her milk, intended for her child, could be extracted by a cold machine and sold to humans.

Probably not the best examples to use in this situation.
