I think it’s just USA. Nowhere else has introduced new tariffs for stuff from Japan to my knowledge.
Edit: Another article that clarifies it is just the US.
Here is the full statement Nintendo sent GameSpot on April 4:
“Pre-orders for Nintendo Switch 2 in the U.S. will not start April 9, 2025 in order to assess the potential impact of tariffs and evolving market conditions. Nintendo will update timing at a later date. The launch date of June 5, 2025 is unchanged.”
It’s insane to think that the same two partys remain in control in the US. Yet they call it democracy.

I used CDiscount to buy a few items, and I found them good although I have heard that when customer support is needed, they are non existent. They had a flat rate shipping fee to my country (so I knew what the overall price would be) and it was possible to filter results when searching for something, by the sellers or products that would ship to any country, but that option has been removed since January and i have no idea how to contact them to find out if it will be coming back. Bad timing it seems, as they could’ve taken a few customers from amazon until that was removed.

Start copying as many of the top searches that bring people to Reddit. Have them answered here, possibly in more detail, or maybe copy paste.
Yet not one lesson was learned. If anything, they’ve made it worse. No accountability, monopolies in almost every sector, or vast majority ownerships.
When it’s all done and dusted, I hope it’s the beginning of the end for corporate capitalism as we know it. Allowing them to become that big and powerful through corruption that they literally think that they can control the world, is insane.
This is happening because of greed.
So does this mean that lemmy.ml is taking over as the biggest instance?
From small seeds… I had noticed a huge improvement regarding lemmy posts and threads, before the US election, and then it all kind of went backwards.
But if you have any questions about anything - niche or otherwise, you should post them on lemmy, helping it to grow faster. Even if the answers can already be found in other community forums.
You should get specific replies to your question anyway, but also anyone coming behind you won’t have to go to reddit or any other place for the answer.
It requires everyone to help, but questions are the fastest way to grow in most cases. Not including the likes of subs that can post original content, A TON of reposts on them too, but some OC.
But mainly asking for help with anything should get people with knowledge on the subject replying.
With the idea that eventually many answers can be found here without having to go elsewhere.
Start ‘spamming’ your genuine questions now…
Doesn’t the same apply to pretty much any insult?
And why we’re not supposed to use the word “normal” when referring to somebody or what they aren’t…
I don’t think snowflake is intended to be an insult though, is it? I always thought it was a stupid reference to what is perceived as an over sensitive generation (or person).
It doesn’t even have to be the edge 40. I think many of the motorola phones have roms and xda subs. The edge 30 or the G82 for example.
You should also look at the Motorola edge 40 range. Can all be flashed and last two Motos I had, they still have a decent community with channels on Reddit. Start on xda https://xdaforums.com/f/motorola-edge-40-pro-moto-x40-china.12731/
My point was, as per OP, if we banned it now, there would still be a large portion claiming outrage. Either because they profit from it, or it effects a product they use or collect.
