  • Free-range farming is barely a quality of life improvement over cages, look it up.

Only eating meat is only killing animals for meat.

Eating meat and dairy is both killing animals for meat, and raping and torturing animals for milk and eggs, which when these animals no longer produce to quota or become diseased, also gets them killed.

How is eating dairy harming fewer animals?

All animals livestock is unethical. There is no such thing as the ethical rape, torture and consumption of animals when humans can easily and cheaply live off plants. There is no excuse.

  • It bothers me that vegetarians don’t care beyond this very un-though-through concept of ‘animals dying’.

Dairy is a product of the mass rape and imprisonment of cows in horrific factory farms, and chickens are also kept in massively over crowded and unsanitary conditions.

And this is not to mention the constant cullings of male animals, which aren’t considered food as testosterone tastes so bad, and male animals can’t produce eggs or milk.

Or the constant culling of animals that no longer produce eggs or milk to quota.

Or the mass culling of the diseased or at risk of disease from being forced to live in such disgusting environments.

Vegetarianism is not a moral stance, it’s delusional and harms and kills animals at the same rate as eating both meat and dairy.

  • I haven’t played the games either, tbh I didn’t even know there were games.

I’ve been reading SCP’s for probably over 15 years now though, with varying levels of obsession with it during that time. There is so much lore and interconnectedness now, seeing it grow from just a few stories was incredible.

  • Is there anything new and original in the non-vegan world? Or is it all just constantly finding different ways of serving animal products?

Just because we have the tech now to be exploring realistic plant based alternatives to meat, doesn’t mean that is all vegans eat or cook.

And after fucking years of hearing “I’d go vegie/vegan if there were good realistic meat alternatives” from you people, this new spin of “why do vegans want so many realistic meat alternatives?!” is kinda pathetic tbh.

Most of these new plant meats are made and marketed to help get omni’s off meat. The megre handful of vegans in the world are not the target market here, and the vast majority of us vegans have always been pretty content with our beans and tofus for protein.

And yes, there are plant based food innovations happening all the time, but they probably don’t count for you because omnivores don’t see food as ‘real’ or ‘good’ unless it contains tortured animal parts.

  • Or they’re illnesses and conditions primarily affecting women.

Chronic fatigue has only since covid (when men started reporting constant excessive tiredness) been started to be treated like a real thing by doctors. And it’s still barely considered by most doctors.

Endometriosis is another ‘chronic’ womens condition that has only very recently started being researched properly and taken seriously. And again, it’s still incredibly hard to get taken seriously and helped if you suffer from it.

See also the massive discrepancy between autism and adhd diagnosis in men and women, and with bpd diagnosis between women and men.

On a somewhat less severe side of things, lack of libido in women is still considered a jokey non-issue by most doctors but viagra has been on the market for decades for men.

There’s a lot more but I’m too tired to keep writing this.

  • I want this in the UK. Free and humane access end of life services, should be a human right for all adults.

I am genuinely fucking terrified of attempting again on my own and fucking it up so badly that I end up too brain damaged to live independently and get sectioned for life.

I’ve experienced first hand how NHS MH services treat vulnerable people under their care, and I know full well how much worse it gets if you don’t have any capacity left to self advocate and be heard.

If the UK government won’t provide a functioning healthcare, housing and benefits system to look after the disabled and mentally ill, they should at least allow us the choice of dying comfortably in a safe environment.
