I’m able to make a false analogy too : It’s kinda like training wheels on a bike. It makes the experience of biking easier for the one learning and eventually you can remove them.

I barely know how any of this works, but couldn’t Google just decide to not send video content on YouTube until X number of seconds have elapsed, so having ad blockers would block ad content, but not make it faster to see the video?
Also, animal meat maybe, but not every animal product contains a complete protein profile.

I tried gym subscriptions but I always end up not going. Now I’m doing cardio at home but I would like to lift again. I don’t have equipment yet, but I am contemplating buying a bench and dumbbells. I don’t really want to bulk up, I just want to stay in shape.
I saw Jeff Nippard on YT recently discussing minimalist training (and his The Essentials Program) and it sounds right up my alley, because I don’t want maximum gains (nor maximum time training). But it looks like I would need to go to the gym for a lot of the exercises he suggests.
As I am a newbie for all of this, I would love to know where to look for more info on this. Anything I can do at home a few times a week without it being a major time investment. Thanks for any help :)

I think it could be productive to not think of him as dumb, but as being taken advantage of by people with their own interests in mind. We are all humans and it’s easy to see the other as different, but I think we are way more similar than we are distinct and as a relative, coming at it with empathy and maybe humor could bring the heat of the conversation down a couple of notches. Anyway it kinda worked for me I think, so take it with a grain of salt.
