Huh, I only just noticed that Tracer’s googles there are a nod to Sonic.
That’s some… uh… that’s some programmer art there.
He was known to spell his name several different ways.
Right, because it’s hard to make a robot grow a goatee.
They added the charge limit feature to Pixels officially in the latest update. Settings -> Battery -> Charging Optimization
Assuming you have a new enough device running the stock OS.
I’m pretty happy with Pixels for the moment, so it’s a $5 USB-C to 1/8" dongle for me. That or the Pixel Buds I got for free as as promo with the phone. I’ve never had to charge and use the converter at the same time, but I believe there are cheap dongles that can do that too.
you are better off buying xiaomi/poco
If they have the cell bands you want in the US - which they don’t necessarily.
Thanks. FWIW there are a couple of apps called Tuner on F-Droid. The one by Michael Moessner seems to be better maintained.
I use an ancient guitar tuner app called Pitch Lab. Tiny, no ads. It’s great. If they don’t kill it this round it feels like it will be soon.
Anyone have a suggestion for a replacement?
You can already do this, but it’s not at all intuitive. So I’m glad they’re making it easier.
I’m curious, when was the last time you were surreptitiously recorded?
I’m old
You’ll fit right in.
Everything is feeling great so far. The only bug I’m encountering is that when opening a thread (in Firefox on desktop) it auto-scrolls down past the content to the replies.
Haven’t tried BBEdit - it looks pretty nice. But again, while it is free it’s a complicated free that you don’t see as often with Windows software.
Now this might be down to my search skills, but -
A media player like MPCHC that gives previews when you scrub the timeline
A reasonably small text editor that understands the different line endings like Winpad.
I found Elmedia Player for video, but I end up using VLC most of the time since Elmedia doesn’t generate previews for remote files. For text I found TextMate, which I like quite a bit.
The sort options stay the same. And I just realized that by ‘post’ I’m thinking mostly about comments. I used the wrong word and it’s confusing people, although I suppose the same idea holds for top-level posts.
But I guess it is a lot of work now for the moderators to keep up with the high amount of new posts.
Exactly. Tildes doesn’t have user voting at all, and I think it will fail to scale for precisely this reason.
You can set the threshold to -1000 if you want to see everything. I’m not sure what a good default would be.
Damn right.
