Every major Internet site should be. Why do TV ads get vetted by the FCC and Internet ads don’t? A growing portion of the population doesn’t even watch broadcast TV anymore.
My macroecon book, which was written by a guy from the Bush administration, hit us over the head with that concept.

19·2 个月前Don’t put the squeeze on the voters. They either didn’t vote for trump, or they were so dumb that they did vote for trump won’t understand why their electric bill went through the roof.
The whole point of democracy is the voters have an impact. If nothing changes for the voters don’t be surprised when they vote for the same party next time.
People use the word incel to the point of irrelevance. If you’re having sex you’re not involuntarily celibate.
Folks online were calling Henry Cavill an incel a while back. If these guys were celibate it would be by choice. If you’re trying to criticize them in other ways, why not use the right words?

Not just “see her as.” I’ve never heard of a transwoman giving birth. I’m a huge fan of niche edge cases though and I’ve heard of one accidental finding of an XY, assigned female at birth person giving natural birth. This case was mentioned in research that was studying a family that had women that were experiencing hirsutism.
LGBT people are something like 10-20% of the population.
It appears to be 5.5% of the population.
The reason studios put LGBT content in movies and games is that a lot of people in the real world, aka their customers, are LGBT.
If their population were small, disproportionate representation can still have a positive impact for awareness. That being said, I think a big reason for the representation is the percentage of people in the arts that is LGBT is greater than the general population. It would be tough making content and looking in the eyes of so many creatives while not including characters like them in stories.
Side note:
Maybe it’s not too realistic to have a bunch of out queer characters in a drama set in Elizabethan England.
All the recent period pieces I’ve seen have LGBT characters. I’m going to use this as a moment to advertise My Lady Jane. It’s not an entirely accurate depiction of the story of Lady Jane Grey (for obvious reasons), but it was an entertaining show.
Wasn’t Daniel Stern willing to stop robbing the house because there’s a kid? I trust the guy who does property damage over the one who’s dead set on terrorizing and torturing a kid.
It reminds me of that story where a robber steals a car, then when he notices there’s a kid in it he turns the car around to chastise the parent for leaving the kid inside. Don’t be a thief, but if you are don’t torture kids.

The security argument is a lie, I think. I think websites like Netflix like these features so it’s difficult to approach copying a video.
If security were an issue I don’t think you’d be able to copy text to the clipboard in situations where you can’t screenshot.
