It’s tough, you can vote strategically to make sure the party you want the least doesn’t get in, or you can vote for the party that aligns with your ideals. I can’t say there is a right or wrong way, but if you don’t vote, that’s how people like the Orange Cheeto down south gets in.

Just had my parents come back. It’s Canada’s border when you come back. Going there next time will be very different. I’ve been trying to convince them not to go.

My wife tried to delete her fb account again (Shes done it a dozen times). Every other time she was able to keep access to messenger, this time it said no, she would lose access to that too. I think this is their push for people to use whatsapp instead.

I installed an add-on called social fixer to block sponsored content and ads in Facebook. It’s shown me that I don’t really get the connection with family or friends that I used to years ago. I get on average 70-80 sponsored posts on between real ones. It’s obscene.

News is supposed to be unbiased. It is supposed to convey the facts. If you want opinion pieces that is something different. The fact that are saying it’s close to a 50/50 split on who they are getting complaints about us their way of saying they are trying to be unbiased in their reporting. It’s impossible to not present some bias but the Goal is to keep it to a minimum.

I struggle with this. I recognize the sentiment and history, but how are we to vote or understand an issue that has to be translated. In my workplace I’ve been asked to provide contracts in other languages. I don’t speak them. I can’t approve or sign off on them. There has to be ways to ensure what is being translated is accurate and with such a (comparatively) small percent of the language speakers involved or monitoring that level of government it seems like an opportunity for messages to get skewed.

I’m surprised. I’ve only seen Taylor 3x now. I was expecting more.

Really all you have to do is hang out with some co-workers in their early 20s. Nothing makes you feel like an adult like sitting at the kids table, listening to their problems. Realizing you can’t relate.
