    Tons of young male characters are voiced by women. I’m curious which anime you’re referring to though.

      I’m guessing they are refering to Dragon Ball (Goku). Whose original voice actress (in Japanese) is Masako Nozawa.

        You’re probably right, but my first thought was Luffy from One Piece, voiced by Mayumi Tanaka in Japanese and Colleen Clinkenbeard in English, both women.

        (Also, I can’t get over what a good name Clinkenbeard is for a VA who voices a pirate)
