They look like mangroves, which are already a plant that grows directly in salty water.

I’m confused, are people mad at posts from reddit? I thought people wouldn’t mind since it means people from Lemmy don’t need to visit Reddit. There’s gotta be lots of people like me who’ve never seen the original posts since we don’t/cant use reddit at all anymore due to all the hostile anticonsumer BS such as old reddit requiring log ins, plus the API changes years ago making reddit unusable. Not to mention all the countless fucked up stuff the Reddit admins have done to sellout even further. I couldn’t use my favorite app Reddit is Fun to browse it anymore, so I am all-in on the fediverse. It’s too late to go back to reddit now!

Yeah, I don’t mind seeing posts borrowed from Reddit or anywhere honestly as long as the poster isn’t impersonating the og poster. This post is fine because it’s just sharing something neat and impersonal, but I hate the “look what I did” ones when the actual author was 3 or 4 reposts back and isn’t getting any credit. Though I suppose that just goes for cross-posting in general, not just between platforms.

Well, the reddit poster also didn’t link their source. Which was in all likelyhood an identical reddit post 8 years old. Which again, you probably guessed it, also didn’t link its source.

My personal experience, linking it in the text portion and not the post link thing has been the best so far. The source is there but if you accidentally click wrong, Reddit doesn’t open. At least that’s what I’ve done with posts I’ve made. People will always complain about something though.
