That looks awful, but I think that’s mostly a testament to awful taste (planting huge areas of grass) rather than the weather. Grass looks like that after pretty mild weather.
You must be kidding. Pretty mild weather is the embodiment of UK weather and when its regular pretty mild weather in the UK this place (the last image in the post) looks like that:

I’m not a fan of that either. I’m not throwing shade at the UK in particular - the US also does way too much grass. Honestly, maybe the UK does it better, but the overuse of grass in the US and the consequences of such is what makes me find it distasteful (whether it’s green or not).

It’s climate change. Grass in London never did this before the 2020s. Personal taste is completely irrelevant.
There’s no grass there, if it was couch or buffalo it’d be fine. What’s there normally is the native ground cover.
