    tl;dr - the classics major hates the changes, and also the movie is very liberal (derogatory)

    i’ve got emily’s translation of the poem sitting on my bookshelf, I should give it a read.

      Weird how people downvoted you for something so nonchalant. I agree, I saw people making fun of her translation, but this article makes me want to check it out. Roderic Day on twitter has also been making a stand for this article if you want to see some high-level criticism of criticism of media criticism

        I read her critique a bit after making this comment, and I found it pretty well written. It helped me put into words my own nagging dissatisfaction with certain elements of the film.
