I haven’t watched detective conan in a decade or so but wasn’t it revealed at one point that he’s actually the big bad guy? Maybe maybe my memory is just mixing stuff up and I got it all wrong.
I never finished the whole series so IDK. It also was changed significantly in the version I have seen anyway (Funimation I believe). They likely would have changed it or not shown the whole thing if that was the case.
