It’ll only be a niche / small subset of interested and invested people that move. Still a sizable enough amount to make the new work, but it’s not gonna be an immediate Reddit exodus. Reddit is too big for that, and the general user / mass does not care. If works good enough for them.
We will see what the long term effects will be though. The general user that is not interested or invested is also not the one posting [quality] content or moderating. But there’ll likely be enough that accept Reddits behavior - as long as the central service and usability remains.
