I am here for this battle, I will die on this hill.

Jalapeño, Pineapple and Pepperoni … Spicy, Sweet and Savory

It is a great blend of flavors across the palate.

I prefer to have the pineapples drained/squeezed a bit before adding to the pizza as it helps to caramelize the sugars in the pineapple. The oven has to boil off all that liquid before it can start doing so. Also all that excess pineapple juice will be drawn out first before boiling off which can make the dough soggy if you don’t allow it enough time in the oven.

But also, who cares in the grand scheme of things… pizza is great without pineapple too.

I’m looking forward to trying it.

How big on those onion slices? I use a mandolin to slice mine paper thin for pizza but I’m willing to go thicker.

What kind of olives? Are we talking black olives or something more exotic?

Black olives, and red onions sliced about 1/4-1/8 inch or so thick. I’m sure really thin would work just as well, but I can’t vouch for it because I’ve not had it. Diced onions work well too, and white onions will do if red aren’t available.

Ok, it has pineapple on it so of course we have space for you in our pineapple shaped clubhouse but I feel you are really straining the unity of the group with recommendation…

… but, for the sake of solidarity I will try this combo. Does the avocado go on the pizza before it goes in the oven or after it comes out?

It goes on before. Just make sure it’s a ripe avocado and dice it instead of like slices of avocado. You gotta have the cashews too. It’s like all the ingredients just worked well together for me. :-)

Oh I won’t forget the cashews, I think they are the lynchpin for this combo.

Diced not slice with the avocados, got it!

Time to explore new flavor combos!

          Will do!

How is the tomato on there; are they halved cherry tomatoes, diced tomatoes, sliced rounds or…?

What is the best way to prepare the tomatoes as a topping in your experience with this type of pizza?

I’m partial to sliced romas. You want to slice them kinda thick so they don’t just turn into tomato crisps, though. Diced tomatoes are terrible for pizza & cherries are a little too big to just half. Halfed grape tomatoes work, though.
