Thousands of private messages reveal young GOP leaders joking about gas chambers, slavery and rape.

Leaders of Young Republican groups throughout the country worried what would happen if their Telegram chat ever got leaked, but they kept typing anyway.

They referred to Black people as monkeys and “the watermelon people” and mused about putting their political opponents in gas chambers. They talked about raping their enemies and driving them to suicide and lauded Republicans who they believed support slavery.

William Hendrix, the Kansas Young Republicans’ vice chair, used the words “n–ga” and “n–guh,” variations of a racial slur, more than a dozen times in the chat. Bobby Walker, the vice chair of the New York State Young Republicans at the time, referred to rape as “epic.” Peter Giunta, who at the time was chair of the same organization, wrote in a message sent in June that “everyone that votes no is going to the gas chamber.”

A highschool friend of mine is of the Republican peruasion, or whatever equavalent my country has. Some weeks ago he was having a game night with his footbal friends. During the night he was sending pictures in our group chat. We could see mount beercan growing in every picture, but it all looked like a fun night so far. Until some point when the picture of the next board game didn’t show a board game, but it showed a copy of mein kampf on the table. And he was making inapproriate jokes about it. One of our group is jewish and he took offence. The drunk, republican friend than quickly deleted the picture and appologized. But the damage was done. He had shown his colours.

Mein Kampf itself isn’t an issue. I think people should read it so they understand how absolutely stupid fascism and Hitler were.

Holding it in anything other than complete disdain after reading it though, that’s a paddlin.

The people that listen to trump speeches and think they’re anything other than batshit insane won’t find anything wrong with Mein Kampf either. From the parts I’ve seen it’s similarly incoherent, just with better grammar.

Well, there’s plenty of people who believe Jordan Peterson’s ramblings speak of a superior intellect, so I’m not so sure that would work.

Personally I’m glad this stuff is pretty much illegal where I live.
