When I was like 1 I was hanging out the window of my uncles brand new Sierra, my mum didnt know any better. My uncle dropped the phone and ran out his house before I triggered the window and decapitated myself. I assumed things had changed in well over 35 years.
In my car (model year 2020) and I assume most modern cars, the window buttons are designed such that you push down on the button to lower the window, but you have to hook your finger under it and pull up to raise the window.

And you can see there’s a raised, fixed part in between, so on the rare chance you accidentally lean on the window buttons and trigger them somehow, you’re more than likely going to lower the window, not raise it.
I agree, i think thats been true for a while. But my story is from 1987/1988, at latest. We’re also assuming that my uncle wasnt over reacting, or something.

Who want they bissy sur-fleyed?
Also, classic Boonta Vista rule: always engage your handbrake when you park.
the ripping report is always something bonkers and stupid af
This all happening on a fiat 500, the most inoffensive and cutesy car there is, makes it all the more gruesome.
Still a fiat though
dog just let it crash and figure it out later
It’s a Fiat 500, it’s just going to bonk into something. I’m pretty sure you could total one with a bicycle.
A car of ours from like 2001 had sensors and would actually go down if something was in the window blocking it from closing. It became a test my brother did in every car we test drove
Why did the auto roll down not work when it couldn’t complete a cycle?
Every car I’ve driven/owned that has an auto window function also auto reverses when it senses a jam.
