Dominion Voting Systems has been purchased by Liberty Vote, a firm headed by a former GOP election official with ties to a staunch ally of President Donald Trump -- just weeks after Dominion settled several defamation lawsuits it filed in the wake of the 2020 election.

… does sound like a good step. Give NPR/researchers access and only run audited code. It’s what we’d ask of Republicans if Democrats owned the company.
I’d still prefer open source.
They’re not talking third-party as in political party. Third-party just references an outside individual or group they don’t directly control. The third-party auditor won’t be an independent third-party. It will 100% be a GOP-aligned group.
Can’t wait for it to be a totally neutral and moral company not named after Lord of the Rings Lore like Palantir or Anduril
It doesn’t even need to be “aligned”. I remember the savings and loan debacle.
And hand-marked paper ballots. I don’t trust the electronic voting machines.
