You’re getting downvoted but i think you make a good point. As long as he is working to extricate Canada from the US grip, i don’t care if Carney tells Trump what he wants to hear. It might even buy us some time.
Maybe statements that treat Kirk as just another activist conducting normal political activities give his movement too much credibility, though. My position is that Kirk was vile, but shooting his m did not stop Trump or remove him from power. Trump was going to find an excuse for everything he is doing anyway, so i doubt Kirk’s murder made things worse in that sense, but it also did little good.
