Here in Canada freedom of speech ends when it becomes hate speech.

This is MASSIVELY problematic in that I do think this will become a slippery slope in time, but currently it does protect from a lot of hateful shit that people would otherwise build a platform on.

It’s imperfect and I’ll eat my fucking shirt if it isn’t abused one day to oppress people, but it kind of works for now.
