Yeah, I now keep a note of shows that I’m interested in and then later watch it when it is completed and the final season is well reviewed. Like Andor for example. Was a very good show and I was happy I could watch at my own pace instead of 2 year gaps between seasons.

I’d have forgotten everything and lost the emotional connections I had developed for the characters if I had watched it as it aired. But most importantly forgotten so much.
