What is your opinion about using a terrible combination of every country’s flag where the language is (officially) spoken?
For German, I like this abomination (ignore the missing Liechtenstein and Belgian representation [you could argue Belgium is already represented if you are color-order-dyslexic]):
I’m not a fan, to be honest. It isn’t recognisable as any of the constituents, so it defeats the alleged purpose of the icon; and while the language is official in the DACh, you’re bound to get native speakers everywhere (e.g. Argentina, Brazil, Paraguay, USA) not being represented.
And even if we stick to countries with an official language, it gets messier for English, French, Portuguese, Spanish - you can still combine elements of three flags, but if you got 8 or 20 you’re in for a ride.
