    On the one hand, Dexter is the luckiest man alive. On the other hand, maybe he really is the greatest serial killer.

    I think watching the show I always just looked at him as a “good” serial killer, but when you look at his achievements over the course of the series, especially this season, he’s just the best at his job, his job of serial killing.

    The moment he sat down next to (other) Gemini and started sucking up to him, just like his brother, I knew his plan. I did think it would take a little more work, but I guess telling him you killed his brother sort of speeds up the conversation. A little self defense, blaming the other deaths on him, brilliant. It did seem a little sloppy, hence the lucky aspect, but it adds up.

    I do wonder if Praeter is the New York Ripper. If he is, then he fits Dexter’s code, which is convenient for the story, but wraps things up a little too neatly. I also feel like Praeter would share that info with the group, and not just have the trophy, but maybe he’s just extra careful. Maybe it’s something he’s saving (but everyone else knew.)

    And of course Batista. I hope he lives but I just don’t see how.

      Dude that moment when he taunts Gemini wiith his brother’s death, I was like, is really gonna spin up another “I own you” again ? And yuup, that worked really well hahaha That scene killed me.

      I do wonder if Praeter is the New York Ripper

      WWat makes yout think that ? If there have been any hints, damn I didn’t notice them :o

        Re New York Ripper.

        Working backwards the character exists, but we don’t know much about them. This episode gave us the most information about them (I think). They’ve stopped killing. They still taunt their victims families.

        Dexter pointed out that the detectives theory about the crowbar was close, but that it was probably something longer. Meaning someone who was shorter might need something longer.

        Also if Praeter has the New York Ripper’s primary killing weapon, but the New York Ripper hasn’t been caught, then where is the New York Ripper? They’re still taunting, so still alive. So the New York Ripper either IS Praeter, or knows Praeter.

        Uma Thurman is a possibility as well. We just don’t know enough about her character. She has a mother that she deeply cares for, which doesn’t tell us a lot, but it means she probably isn’t a sociopath and probably not a serial killer.

        It’s also very convenient story wise if Praeter is a serial killer. Dexter has no reason to kill him otherwise, he’s just a creepy dude. Since Dexter clearly plans on killing Eric Stonestreet (having already killed everyone else), leaving a loose end seems like a mistake.

          Damn that’s some nice reasoning ! I can’t believe that I missed such an important plotline of this series 😩 I missed like a whole character holy shit.

          It makes so much sense when you lay it out like that.
          Him contacting the victims would line up with his experience with his own parents’ murderer.

          Yeah I don’t think it’s Thurman either, she seemed disgusted by them. It seems more like she is loyal to praeter because he handles her mother’s medical bills.

    I really didn’t expect that stand off with Batista, I really don’t see how that ends well for Dexter. But he is really fucking good at getting out of tricky spots as we saw with the second Gemini kill (Damn btw).

    The one thing I’m wondering is if he will ever tell Batista that he never really killed Doakes, Maria, or his sister, or wife. How is Dexter going to explain how plot armor works ? 😆

    Also, he said a quite a big lie to Claudette about Batista, a lie that is not hard to verify, she is going to be real suspicious of Dexter if she ever does.

    This episode was really good.
