    Disney making live action remakes (cheaper than animation) so they don’t lose ownership of the IP is the worst reason a human being has ever made a movie for.

    Anything produced for that goal will be shit

        Sure, but Sony actually gave artists free reign to have fun and take risks with it. With the explicit intention of rejuvenating the IP. Unlike Disney which demand total risk aversion, formulaic and nostalgia based production, and no new creative thought whatsoever.
