It’s hard to overstate how badly one must fuck up to drive Britain into the arms of FRANCE.
Especially post Brexit.

The UK’s nuclear arsenal is still dependent on the US for maintenance, with warheads going to North Carolina periodically.
The new strategic nukes Starmer is ordering will be tied into the US infrastructure, as are the F-35s to launch them, though given the last-resort nature of nuclear weapons, their actual purpose may be to keep Trump onside politically while Britain’s everyday military capabilities integrate more closely with its European neighbours.
I expect the agreements for anything happening now or in the near future were cemented several years ago. If the US continues on the track it is on then the number of large new investments may decline.

Thats largely because they’ve shouted about (and let everyone shout about) the shit stupid things they’ve done, ans kept quiet about anything decent.
- massively improving workers rights
- restoring and improving the last labour government’s sure start scheme
- fixed the doctors strikes and already got NHS waiting lists down
are a few big things that will massively help people. Instead of talking about these they’re letting the narrative be that they’re basically doing austerity again.
Hopefully the rest of the commonwealth(specifically Australia) follows this example

I doubt it but I hope it somehow signifies a lasting slowing down of imperialism, of protecting the interests/profits of foreign corporations over local populations.
