Impulse buys are bad, we all know, but what was an impulse buy that proven to be a really good decision to you?

The people who wasted their money on it are all rich and don’t want to take a write down because of sunk cost. Demand is so weak they are already discontinued

These are from five months ago lol the thing is a flop. VR is stupid. You couldn’t pay me to strap some shit to my face like that.

I have a Meta Quest 3 that i use every single day. I bought it specifically so I could use AceXR, which is a “game” that’s a dry fire practice simulator. It’s significantly improved my shooting ability, since I now get feedback, and I’ve saved tens of thousands in ammunition prices versus going to a shooting range every single day. No, it’s not perfect–there’s no recoil control in dry fire simulation–but it’s very, very good for what it is.

People saying that VR is stupid sound a lot like people that didn’t see any reason to switch to LED from CRT.

VR is stupid because you are strapping something to your face and isolating yourself from the real world and offers no where near as much functionality as LED. It is a niche product and will never be a mass market item. This is why Apple stopped producing them within months of releasing them. This is why most people do not own one now and are not planning on buying one ever. Have fun with your loser strap on lol
