The malware was being circulated by a cybercriminal group over Telegram under the guise of legitimate applications such as ChatGPT, the Opera Mini browser, premium versions of YouTube, and other popular apps and websites.

      You mean we shouldn’t blindly trust random, almost entirely anonymous, users giving out executables to be run on the very same devices we do banking and important life paperwork on? Say it ain’t so!

        The only thing play protect has done “for” me lately was remove file access to Poweramp the day after I got it. Fuck Play Protect.

            Perhaps, he had that when Poweramp still had that permission. The app itself says Google removed that permission for play edition apps.

        i plugged in a random usb stick i found on the ground and got multiple stds, why didnt windows anti virus protect me from this?!
