I know you didn’t ask and this is just anecdotal evidence from my employer, but the people who tried to reverse engineer this guys work were given strict deadlines they never met. Pen testers to straight up turnaround kings, this guy buried them all and had to be bought out. It was cheaper to buy him out than it was to pursue the next step. Stay safe my friend, stay valuable.

We recently had to buy out a director that kept all the technical knowledge to themselves for the last 20 years. They were almost always available 24x7 for outage calls and it became clear his teams didn’t know shit about anything, especially when said director was sick or on vacation. He was labeled a danger to the infrastructure and settled for a multimillion dollar buyout with a full knowledge transfer. Retirement age, fat 401k, company stock and other investments… yeah, he took that deal immediately, like no hesitation.

I do agree with you though, I wish the options weren’t so binary.

50/50 chance they survive in the wild. 100% chance they die by being euthanized. Even if they die in the wild, they will feed the eco system. Even domesticated animals will eat their deceased owners when they get hungry enough. The only animal I can think of that won’t eat when hungry is a lonely guinea pig.

Uhhhh, how about try? If the options are to euthanize them or give them a fighting chance in the wild, they should just release them near or around another pod. The hubris of man to think animals can’t survive without them. They aren’t domesticated. If they’re hungry and see a fish swim by they’d be like “where’s the hairless ape’s hand to feed me?”.

16 year Reddit account, so much content given to them over the years, perma banned for hate speak a few days ago. I’m not sure you know how much landscapers and construction workers can make. ICE Cream Barbie’s threat may keep them from going now, but I know an undocumented laborer that’s gone to the Super Bowl with MUCH better seats AND took their daughters to a Taylor Swift concert in the same year. They also pay their fair share in taxes on their earnings.
