I was loving this movie until it started being a superhero movie. It was a really cool scifi experience till then

I’ve used them and they help sometimes but I also just forget to take them all the time lol usually if I’m chugging a large milkshake I’m having a bad enough day that I’m not thinking a few hours ahead.
Also anyone reading this: the chewable lactaid tablets will make you want to die. They are one of the most unpleasant things I’ve had in my mouth
I’m lactose intolerant and love milkshakes… So yes

11·10 days agoMine is MTG Arena. I don’t really have anyone I can play with locally so it’s basically my only option but my God it’s like a textbook example on how to make the greediest and shittiest user experience

No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•Microsoft has billions of dollars and thousands of people. So why is Windows still worse than Linux ?
13·19 days agoThis is the answer. I work in a big company which has a similar issue. The boots on the ground devs like me know how bad some cascaded orders and ideas are but when you try to bring it up it’s like trying to talk to a brick wall with 13 other brick walls in the way

The leather back was definitely tempting

101·1 month agoReally looking forward to mine. Seems like it hits most of what I’ve been looking for in a phone.
100% this. An ex of mine did this all the time and the first couple times are cute but past that it starts being obnoxious and like you said exhausting. I finally told her when she says stuff like that she’s also calling me either stupid for “settling” for her, or a liar by not believing me when I said I wanted to be with her. She stopped for a bit after that but it didn’t last long.

2·2 months agoI loved Black Survival back in the day. It was early in the Battle Royal wave and it somehow made a visual novel style multiplayer BR fun for me, but any of my friends I convinced to try it absolutely despised it

Linux@lemmy.ml•Do you think Linux popularity will be slow steady growth or a big a jump in popularity
31·2 months agotbh I’ve always assumed it would take a majority of offices and other workplaces adopting it. Having no choice but to use it and then suddenly… “hey… why does this not suck?”
Plus bigger workplaces have more leverage with software companies which would increase the compatibility pool
Also the fact that I can pretty much run any exe through steam painlessly helped me with the switch. More people being aware of that could help

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•There's a narrative that everyone now is stressed/busy/anxious – do you find this relatable?
9·2 months agoI take like 12 pills every morning and half of them are just for my mental health. I know personally it’s always been there but has gotten tougher to manage recently primarily due to external factors. I think it’s important to remember that other people are going through wildly different things than you. Other people have a harder time dealing with stress and depression than you do. Plus it’s become much more common to actually get help when you’re struggling which would explain the higher numbers being reported.
Also a high tv viewership if anything counters your argument. A lot of people use television as an escape so higher viewership would mean more people trying to ignore their stress/issues.
I was complaining to my friends about how bad the programming was on a project I was wrapping up and then they asked, “Isn’t this a personal hobby project?” yes it is.

There are regular tablets you swallow and there are chewable versions. I’m just letting people know not to get the chewables.
Usually it just doesn’t occur to me until I’m halfway or completely done and it’s too late.
