anyone who prefers editing videos on your smartphone, what is the best video editing app in your opinion? - Lemmy.World

I prefer my smartphone because I literally don’t have a desktop/laptop computer and no desire to get one Because sitting up working on a computer is bad for my posture and it hurts my back so everything I do on my “computer” Is done on my smartphone, I’m laying down with my legs propped up. It’s just how I am. so I’m currently distraught because my Samsung smartphone did a mandatory software update and they took away all the handy video editing tools they used to provide us :'( So I absolutely need to find a video editing app now and I’d like to know If any of you have experience & leads to a best option. I would Google “best smartphone video editing apps” but search engine results are usually biased and shilled. I prefer honest reviews from real users.

Apparently there’s this Linux tool which they show could be used with Termux and an X server: https://cinelerra-gg.org/download/CinelerraGG_Manual/Android_Tablet_or_Phone_wit.html

But as you can see from the screenshot, you should expect the experience on a smartphone to be really bad. Would probably be usable on a tablet or a foldable with a large screen.

If you are fine with paid options. Check luma fusion on playstore

Yes thank you! I need a paid option because I know that is the only available route now, I got that feeling when Samsung took away all the editing capabilities, just gonna have to go out and pay for it somewhere else.
