Anyone else like miserable weather and doesn’t see an issue with the image?

Fall and winter are the best in Oklahoma. I fucking LOVE the end of the year. We get one or two good snows most years, but it never snows enough to need to salt the roads all the time. It’s 40-60 degrees throughout the entire season. It’s one of our dry seasons so most days are sunny. You can spend basically the entire season outdoors in normal clothes.

I’d move to Seattle or Portland or Denver for the weather, but there’s no way my line of work could afford the cost of living there. Also, my wife’s family is all here and she’s not keen to move 2,000 miles away. Can’t blame her for that.

Can’t relate to your latter paragraph, I am all too keen to be away from my family, I moved to the PNW 6 years ago, it’s got it’s problems, I love it here, though, might retire towards the coast if I can eventually afford it.

It’s Action 4 weather, Action 4 being the news program and channel.

I prefer Action Weather 4, sounds like a wicked 80s action movie, about a retired mercenary turned weatherman who has to come out of retirement to use his new found knowledge of weather patterns to take out his long time nemesis The Storm.

I’m pretty sure we have an Action Weather in my area too, which is not where OP is.

Ok it’s not just me then right? I’m trying to find communities on Lemmy that aren’t just doom and gloom clickbait, but holy shit this place is depressing so far.

Smaller hobby or special interest communities are generally the most positive ones and this place is still being fleshed out. Those are the communities that take the longest to establish themselves

So to me, miserable weather is when it’s sunny and hot, perfect weather is when it’s cold and wet, preferably a storm rolling in.

We got some here last month but it thankfully melted quickly and we’re now having a fairly decent fall.
