I hate mfs who say checks notes jokes are supposed to be funny checks my superior notes humor is subjective, that whole jokes are supposed to be funny bit does not apply when it’s a tweet or any other public forum, at least one person will find it funny

crazy thing. humor is subjective. i found the joke quite funny due to its sudden absurdity. it is also pretty safe to assume that this was in fact a joke due to said sudden absurdity.

I know that tone is hard to convey in text, and some people just don’t get dry humor. But really? Anyone took the first comment seriously?
I don’t know what community you frequently visit, but I hardly ever see any shitposting comments, edge lord comments, etc., in the communities I frequent.

A lot of folks can’t take jokes. They think everything everyone says is 100%. For the most part, when people get really hateful, even when making jokes, that’s when they tell you the truth. That’s my opinion, though.
